Today the year 2 children used their observational skills to observe what has happened to our cress seeds and the different environments that we chose to put them in for our science experiment. We discussed and recorded our results and we then wrote a shared group conclusion. Great science year 2!

Year 2 Science Experiment
Year 2 have been busy setting up our super science experiment. We have worked together to plant our cress seeds in cotton wool and place the pots in the 6 different environments that we chose. We were careful to make sure it was a fair test and we have all predicted which pot we think will grow the healthiest cress and why. Great science work Year 2!
New vocabulary
In Reception we have been looking at closely at things that grow and learning to name the different parts of a plant. This week we played an activity where we had to read the labels, cut up the plants and place the parts in the correct place. The labels we read were, stalk and stem, roots, petals, flowers and leaves. We really enjoyed this activity.
